I didn’t expect open source to change much. I was wrong. There were false starts, of course, and no shortage of doubt. The ritual mattered more than the result, in the end.
I kept expecting to lose interest, and somehow never did. It wasn’t always easy, and I won’t pretend that it was. If you have been putting it off, perhaps this is your sign.
