I didn’t expect financial calm to change much. I was wrong. The ritual mattered more than the result, in the end. It wasn’t always easy, and I won’t pretend that it was.
There were false starts, of course, and no shortage of doubt. Slowly, it stopped feeling like effort and started feeling like mine. These days I can’t quite imagine going back.
